Indrani Chowdhury is a multiple award-winning modern Indian author who now resides in Bangalore, India, and divides her time between the two loves of her life – her son and writing. What started as a hobby soon became the calling of her life! In her own words, “Writing soothes my soul. It has had a calming effect on me and has helped me to discover the path of meaningful existence. It connects me with my tribe and through it, I contribute in my own way to my world. I use it to raise my concerns, support the causes in which I believe, channelize my energy and emotions towards constructive work, and last but not the least to feel connected with the universe.” Her poems have been published in various national and international anthologies and magazines. Her debut book ‘Raining Drops of Rainbow Verses’ was published by Notion press in June 2021. It consists of twenty-five poems that vary in taste, texture, character, and subject.  There is a little bit of everything here for her readers which would surely tickle their taste buds as they would sit at their cozy corners to read and sing again the song of life. The book garnered a good response from both her readers and literary critics. It was selected in the Best debut poetry book category 2022 by the Asian Literary Society, and she became the recipient of the Asian Literary Society’s Indian Women Rising Star Award 2022 (Literature) for her literary pursuits. She was also the recipient of the Asian Literary Society’s Wordsmith Award 2021 and the Ukiyoto Literary Awards 2022 (Poet of the Year). She was one of the winners of the 3rd International Inspirational Women Award (IIWA) 2022 organized by GISR. She also won Elite Book Awards’ prestigious Sylvia Plath Memorial Literary Prize 2022. She has been thrice nominated by Women’s Web for The Orange Flower Award (Poetry category). She is a regular contributor to various literary platforms and within a short span of three years, she has co-authored almost thirty anthologies.
