Even after making rapid strides in terms of globalization and modernity added with multiple waves of feminism; we are a country notorious when it comes to violent crimes against women! Our girls are still afraid of being prone to something horrendous beyond imagination and rampant news of sexual abuse is a daily affair in the mainstream media. A country where we boast of the best educational institutions, ironically does not teach our children about ‘Touch’. Touch, which is enough to send a chill down our spine, by the wrong individual mostly gets unnoticed as either we are not ourselves aware or we take it for granted.
