‘Understanding Autism begins at a young age, and there is no better place than the classroom and an educational setting to start’. Everyone accepts normal children but the art of embracing a child with special abilities with similar zeal is yet to be learned by society at large. To mark the awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its increasing cases in families and societies, Bachpan Mother’s Touch Playschool recently conducted a program on 12th April 2023 at its premises situated in Shrikant Road, Belabagan, Deoghar. Whereas, the grand event marked its presence with an elite panel of litterateurs and stalwarts from various fields, acclaimed author Jyoti Jha was felicitated and honored during the program.
Author and Columnist Jyoti Jha’s arrival in the holy city of Deoghar was welcome and celebrated by the eminent personalities at Mother’s Touch School. The Director and Founder of the school, Dr. Rupa Shree felicitated the author along with renowned writers, artists, journalists, and literary experts. An HR-turned-Author, Jyoti Jha is an MBA by qualification and has been associated with corporates like Infosys and Whirlpool in the past. After almost a decade of globe-trotting, she pursued her compelling passion for expressing herself through words and embarked on the journey of exploring the field of literature. A Storyteller, Columnist, Lyricist, and an esteemed winner of ‘The Times of India Write India Season 3’, she has authored the books, ‘Around The World Through My Lens’, ‘Aanandi’, and ‘Heart’s Sanctuary & Other Stories‘. She is a Columnist at The Literary Mirror and a Featured Writer at The Daily Guardian. A proud receiver of several literary awards and recognition, a Speaker at the coveted Times LitFest, and prestigious institutes like IITs and IIM Lucknow, Jyoti has been the honorable Judge at Kashiyatra, IIT BHU. Autism Awareness Program was a part of one such noble cause to contribute to society, their share of increasing awareness, acceptance, dealing with, and caring for rising autism cases. The event highlighted the significance of embracing the strengths of every individual, creating awareness of autism, dealing with the issue, and initiating an ethos that not only accepts autism but also opens a wealth of opportunities for those with autism and everyone else. Shatrughan Prasad, Director of Maulik Films, felicitated author Jyoti Jha with a bouquet and books, whereas, Dr. Rupa Shree welcomed the author with angavastram and Vaidyanath painting. The program followed with the introduction of the author to the present dignitaries and an engaging discussion about literature, writing journey, and books. Dhirendra Chhatarwala presented an Angika poem, Prof. Ramnandan Singh shared a Hindi poem, and Anil Kumar Jha and Sarveshwar Dutt mesmerized everyone with their songs. Narrator Prashant Kumar Sinha shared a memoir and enthralled the audience. Writer Prasanna Kumar Chaudhary, Journalist Pramesh Kumar Varma, Artist Pawan Rai, Rajesh Jha, Virendra Mohan, and Bam Shankar Dube graced the occasion with their presence. Dr. Rupa Shree spoke about how autism awareness is important in families and societies today and the steps MothersTouch is taking to address the issue.
Mother’s Touch has initiated a specialized batch for differently abled children. In their noble drive, observing the initiative and the work done in this regard, author Jyoti Jha has aligned her literary endeavors by dedicating a book on autism.
