Born and brought up in Delhi, Divya Gupta Kotawala wears several hats – a wife, a mother, a friend, sister However, the role that she has cherished the most in her life is that of the daughter of her father – Shri Suresh Gupta. Divya lost her father to COVID in 2021, leading to a deep dark phase of grief for her that she could not handle.
Divya completed her schooling at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Later, she joined the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, where she did her honors in History. Thereafter, in pursuit of her passion for designing and creativity, Divya joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), for a course in fashion design. And tried a few freelance projects, Post this, she went on to join her husband in a 300-year-old family business House in Kotawala and that is what she is presently doing.
For Divya, life has been about simplicity, creativity, and maintaining a healthy balance between her personal, professional, and social life. She loves to devote her time to social welfare work when not struggling between these. Divya also has a strong spiritual side, she enjoys chanting and praying and is an ardent follower of Guruji.
A once super happy and fun person as Divya fell into a deep ditch of mourning after losing her beloved dad. And decided to give the best goodbye gift to her father by turning an Author for the first time at the age of 40 and launching her first book; ‘My Dad’s Daughter’. She feels that she has finally found her true calling and purpose through this book which made her revisit her oldest passion of writing and communicating her feelings and emotions through words to not only too her hero in heaven but also to the world.
