A young entrepreneur who followed his heart to build a success story and proved that age is no bar to victory! Sougat Dasgupta, a Bioengineer from NIT Agartala, and the founder of Astroanswer– an online consultancy service for Astrology and Vastu has an exemplary journey to inspire entrepreneurial traits.

Having faced the hardships of life at a very young age where he lost both his parents to grave illnesses in a short period, he learned important life lessons that kept him going and stood tall through the adversities of life. Living by the mantra, ‘Money and efforts may not change destiny, but efforts at least do give you satisfaction and save you from the regret of not trying’, Mr. Dasgupta created a ‘never give up’ attitude through his success story.

A self-made entrepreneur, Sougat Dasgupta always had a keen interest in Vastu and Astrology. With several degrees in Vedic Science and Astrology (Vedic & Lal Kitab), he worked on Rudraksha for a long time. Dealing with various kinds of natural Rudraksha, he added a feather to his list of achievements when he attained the title of ‘Rudraksha Therapist’. Parallelly, he also owned a business of Navaratna Gemstones. He gradually worked towards capitalizing his vision of working on Astrology and its amalgamation in everyday life, corporates, businesses, and institutes. A certified Psychologist, Sougat has worked considerably on behavior psychology and has gained expertise in face reading and graphology (the psychology of handwriting).

A combination of science and spirituality from the very beginning, he liked reading Gita even during his formative years. Although the impact of spirituality was embedded deep within his psyche, his science background would win over when he would unknowingly remark on aspects like Astrology. Eventually, he realized the importance of this ancient science, and with a firm goal of eradicating superficial opinions about astrology from the minds of people, he ventured into his startup, ‘Astroanswer’ to serve the society through the ‘blessings of an outstanding ancient coding language of life cycles’.

Astroanswer provides consultation on various life-related problems and gives solutions in the form of methods from the ancient Vedic sciences like Horoscope analysis, Palmistry, and the application of Vastu Shastra. Along the successful path of his entrepreneurial journey, he conquered his doubts about the business aspects and gathered insights over time to create a foothold in finding clientele who had queries related to the existence of astrology and its benefits.

Apart from his incredible entrepreneurial skills in Astrology, Sougat always had a deep bonding with writing, which prompted him to begin his career in the field of literature through ‘Hello Poetry’, ‘Pratilipi’, “YourQuotes’, and various other platforms. An esteemed winner of ‘Elite Writer Status’ by Evergreen Journal of International Poetry in 2017, he has been published at several local newspapers, magazines, and has also co-authored many books like Unspeakable Book, Insane Heart Poetry, A Quintette of Passions, etc. being extensively involved in the research projects of Astrology and Vastu, he is working on a book of Astrology.

‘A smiling face and sweet feedback of 2000 plus happy clients across India’, is his greatest achievement in this field of business. The most difficult times in his journey have been the initial days when he lost his parents, was bankrupted and felt stranded by fate. ‘Empty stomach, Blank pockets, and Constant failure’ taught him the best of lessons. He drew inspiration from the lives of people who survived through the hardships and defied the odds to become successful. ‘With nothing to lose, you have the world to conquer, he believed. Combining his knowledge, faith, and blessings from his parents, elders, and gurus, he rebuilt himself both as a person and an entrepreneur.
