Rarely we get our hands on a book from the fantasy genre, which could mesmerize the kids and adults alike. The Wizard of Sansanadia, the first installment of the Chronicles of Tierra by the 11 year old award-winning author; Manikya Sanghi really holds all the card intact till the end in order to make this masterpiece an exciting read. Having a nice opening always sets the premise of a wonderful novel and if it is garnished with a poem, it makes it simply irresistible.

As the novel proceeds, the inclusion of a family tree gives you a glimpse into the authors’ confidence on the treatment of its characters. Whereas the mix of moral and philosophical quotients in the novel gives food of thoughts for every readers irrespective of their age. The various images in the novel gives a pictorial depiction of the various sequences of the novel.

Even though the books manage to hold its pace, but the ultra-short chapters leaves a lot to be desired. The war which constitutes a defining moment remains unexplained which perhaps puncture the soul of the readers who had already get into the wizardry.

The masterpiece being a debut novel from a little champ barring a little hiccups surely make an interesting read!
