An Engineering Graduate from NIT Kurukshetra, Susheel Kumar Batra found his calling in spinning stories after twenty-five years of working in the power sector. His compliance with the education model where he achieved a PGD in Ecology & Environment and a Master’s in Applied Psychology (Counselling & Psychotherapy), guided him to follow a career path under the norms of the regular structure. However, he always kept his passion for writing alive through avid reading and writing. His work included deputations to Foreign Assignments, REC, and CEA, New Delhi, which allowed him to observe different cultures and places. Finding common ground with people in different places and cultures and finding a connection in an unfamiliar environment enhanced his skills as a writer helping him create authenticity in the characters and generate experience in writing.

Having published two fiction and non-fiction, Susheel likes to indulge in the power of Yoga, enjoy the immersive experience of the celluloid occasionally, and involve his senses in the blissful moments of counseling. It is this marvelous combination of art, spirituality, and psychology that also impacts his creative acumen and reflects in his writing. In his semi-autobiographical fiction novel, ‘Timeless Time’, Susheel lays out an interestingly narrative tale of the protagonist Sanjeev Kapoor aka Sanju baba, who is slightly self-conscious and has a distinct emotional growing-up experience. A fearful respect towards his father, unbound love from his mother, and abundance of affection from his sisters, complimented with oppressive bullying and cherished friendships in school, and the initial forays into the world of sensuality. Marching ahead to his university days where he falls head over heels for his sister’s friend’s sister. The fondness towards the love of his life keeps growing just as his interest in science continues to develop in his academic pursuits. Born out of the same product of observations and experiences as in science, a keen inclination towards literature from younger years, kept him motivated towards writing and reading throughout.

Literature as a constant companion to his life kept steering him toward a path of philosophical perspective. The book depicts the elements of good, bad, and ugly experiences and encounters from the protagonist’s life and leaves the readers with a solemn promise to return with more.
