Sid Khanna is a young writer from Mumbai, India who is all set to color the literary world with myriad hues of his verses. He dons different hats: he’s a poet, short story, novel and play writer, model, actor, cricketer and script-writer. Mr. Khanna has been a winner of various writing contests including International Writer’s Hunt organized by The Impish Lass Publishing House and was recently awarded the Most Promising Author of 2021 by the same Publishing House. He is a published poet and author and has previously contributed to four anthologies and various magazines and newspapers. His recent works are ‘Incomplete Vanities – Yours and Mine’ and ‘A Plausible Hike’. He is also involved with many movie and play scripts and is ready to turn to cinema which is another world that intrigues him. He feels it can imbue an idea inside a mind in a way no other thing can.
On September 18th, 2021 Sid published his works Incomplete Vanities and A Plausible Hike which have received great reviews. Incomplete Vanities is a set of poems, either a life changing philosophy or a fool’s genuine endeavor, that brings to you the world – exterior and internal. Trying to tell what you already know through subconsciously forced eloquent phrases, it cleans the mirror that you need to look through. Covering various ranges of life, from matters wider than the universe and tinier than the flame of a candle, each word possesses the power to change- a power contained within us- a power that’s larger than our vanity; without which we shall always be incomplete. It’s time to embrace the you, you’re faintly familiar with and live as grand as the phrase of a poem.
A Plausible Hike is a book that contains cannibal plants and grinning victims, reality and the imagination that makes it all real, man’s optimism and macabre sighs of his, the definition of perfection along with the grammatical errors, a mother, a knight, a cricketer, some beautiful sights, some truth and You- with clear skin with spots invisible, running in a race for the pleasure of the world, plotting against it and along with it. And all of this created by a dull and disappointed but pulchritudinous writer, for matters plainly pecuniary.
He wishes to be amazed by great work and amaze people by his own work and make them think about the harmony they are capable of forming; but it all begins within. He believes that everything good or bad makes the world the wonder it is and is necessary for our survival- materially and spiritually. There’s a lot to think about and when it’s done with love and a smile, there’s nothing you’ll miss in your life. Mr. Khanna has nominated his both masterpieces, in the esteemed The LIT Fest 2021 in Best Author of the Year, Best Poetry Book of the Year, Best Poet of the Year, Best Short Story Collection of the Year. The LIT Fest 2021 has already attracted nominations from various authors from all over the country. The LIT Fest 2021 is aimed to commemorate and recognize various literary stalwarts.
