Pooja Poddar Marwah – Author

Pooja Poddar Marwah is an Indian author, columnist, blogger, orator, content specialist, and child psychologist. Her foray into writing began in a parking lot, whilst she was waiting for her kids’ co-curricular to get over. There is not one local cop that didn’t wonder what this woman did every day, with a ‘MacBook’ and a ‘Thums Up’ can, outside the City’s activity centre!

Her debut book, Pursuit – Drawn by Destiny stands as a testament to Pooja’s unwavering belief in the power of faith. It was nominated by the Valley of Words Literature Festival and was also a finalist under the English Fiction category by the International Book Awards, U.S.A.

Taking quirky inspiration from her own life, Pooja’s personal blog (Random Conversations) is based on contemporary living and all that inspirational paraphernalia. She also writes a column called ‘Politics with a twist’ for the Times of India blog which deals with current issues that are throwing the world off gear!

Her writing journey is spread across many mediums and her articles can be found in The Times of India, Daily Pioneer, Garhwal Post, and then some others. She writes in various genres that range from contemporary fiction, and young adult to self-help and non-fiction. Pooja has diverse experience regarding content writing and works with various Companies on their opinion pieces. She goes on air twice a month on the local FM to talk about her columns which are influential, engrossing, and downright honest!

She has spoken at various literature festivals, including The Khushwant Singh Literary Festival, The Dehradun Literature Festival, and Inkspire to name a few, and is an active part of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation that promotes literature across India. She has been featured in India Today as one of the Country’s emerging women.  She is considering a visual adaptation for her debut novel and working on the screenplay for the same.
