It is a matter of pride for the Hindi literature world that Mumbai’s young writer, Ms. Laxmi Rajkumar Jaiswal, will be awarded the prestigious ‘Vidya Vachaspati Saraswat Samman’. This award is being given to her for her dedication and contribution in the field of Hindi literature and Literary Creation, social work.
This award ceremony will be held in New Delhi on 29 June 2025. This event is being organized by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Hindi Vidyapeeth, Vrindavan Dham, Mathura (U.P.), a prestigious institution dedicated to the promotion of Indian culture and Hindi language. The institution is recognized by NITI Aayog, Government of India and is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
Laxmi Jaiswal has done remarkable work in the field of literary writing, research on social issues, and service to the Hindi language. She has written many important books so far, the most important of which are ‘Mujhe Pehchano: Ek Vishleshan’, ‘Ek Aur Dronacharya: Ek Mulyankan and ‘Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi: Hausle Ki Udaan’.
In connection with this honor, Laxmi Jaiswal consulted Dr. Shivaji Rambhau Shinde, the coordinator of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Hindi Vidyapeeth, regarding whether she would be entitled to use the title “Dr.” before her name after receiving the degree. Dr. Shinde confirmed that she is indeed allowed to use “Dr.” as a prefix following the conferment of the Vidya Vachaspati Saraswat title.
This honor fulfills a deeply cherished dream of her mother, Mrs. Ushadevi Jaiswal, who always wished to see her daughter’s name proudly carry the title “Dr.”. Today, that dream is about to come true.
