Jyoti Jha’s ‘Aanandi’ Launched at Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan

On the jubilee of Prof. Kesari Kumar and Murlidhar Srivastava Shekhar, Hindi language and literature were celebrated in the prestigious vicinity of Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan where HR-turned-Author Jyoti Jha’s novella ‘Aanandi’ was launched in the august company of literary doyens. ‘Sahityaratna’ Kavi Aacharya Murlidhar Shrivastava Shekhar was a linguist and an acclaimed poet. He believed in the indigenous form of the Hindi language.

‘Aanandi’ is a story of a remarkable girl who begins her life’s journey in a small village in Bihar and through the initial struggles of poverty and limitations imposed by the family and social setup, continues to emerge as a determined woman toward education and self-reliance. Spanning across decades, Aanandi battles cultural and economic restrictions and becomes successful in rising above poverty and life’s difficulties. The episodic chapters of the book narrate standalone incidents from the protagonist’s life intricately woven together in a single story. The book has made quite the buzz in prominent media houses and has garnered love from the readers. Featured at the Pune International Literary Festival (PILF) 2021, the book has recently been made into an audiobook available on Storytel. Published by Booksclinic and marketed by Literia Insight, the book is available as an eBook and paperback on Amazon and Flipkart.

Jyoti Jha is an MBA by qualification and has worked as an HR Professional. After almost a decade of globe-trotting, she pursued her compelling passion for expressing through words and embarked upon the journey of exploring the field of literature. An esteemed winner of The Times of India Write India Season 3, she has authored the books, ‘The Realms of Human Emotions’, ‘Around The World Through My Lens’, and ‘Aanandi’. Awarded ‘Savitribai Phule Rashtriya Samman’ and having featured as ‘Iconic Authors 2022’ by Aesthetics International, she has been conferred the ‘Global Progressive Women Award 2022’. She has also been a proud nominee in the coveted Auther Awards Season 3, The Times of India in the Popular Choice category. A proud panelist and guest speaker in a talk show at prestigious IITs and IIM Lucknow, Jyoti has been an honorable Jury member at the Literary Club, IIT BHU for Storytelling, and an honorable Judge at Kashiyatra, IIT BHU for Hindi Poetry. She has been an esteemed guest speaker and host at a unique talk show ‘The Lit Talks’ on a reputable OTT Platform.

“When we strive and succeed in making our tomorrow better than yesterday and today, we are empowered”, Jyoti said during the ‘Pustak Lokarpan’ of ‘Aanandi’ at Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. The event was presided by the Secretary, Hindi Sahitya Parishad, and President, Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Dr. Anil Sulabh. The literary doyens present at the occasion and sharing their valuable thoughts and best wishes for the author were Mr. Kumar Anupam, Mr. Dhruv Kumar, Mr. Ramesh Kanwal, Mr. Shankar Prasad, Dr. Madhu Verma, Mr. Kailash Thakur, Mrs. Manjubala Thakur, Prof. Arti Rajhans, Dr. Shalini Pandey, and Dr. Archana Tripathi. Shree Satyanarayan, President of Hindi Pragati Samiti Bihar, shared his insight about the famous poet Aacharya Murlidhar Shrivastava.

The event was conducted by Mr. Sunil Kumar and was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Krishna Ranjan Singh. The event had the esteemed presence of the editor of the book ‘Aanandi’, Mr. Nitish Raj who is the Editor-in-Chief of The Literary Mirror, and the Co-Founder; Literia Insight.
