Literature, language and cultural heritage of Bihar were celebrated in Goa at the Bihar Development Summit 2026, organised by Let’s Inspire Bihar at Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco, Goa, on September 6.
As part of its continuing efforts to preserve and promote literature, poetry and regional languages, the Let’s Inspire Bihar Literary Chapter presented a collection of significant literary works to Shri Vikas Vaibhav IPS, Inspector General of Police, Magadh Range, Bihar and Patron, Let’s Inspire Bihar, during the summit. The initiative highlighted Bihar’s rich literary traditions and reaffirmed the role of literature as an instrument of cultural revival, social awareness and collective inspiration.
Among the books presented were Chaubatiya, a translated work by veteran Anga-region litterateur Dr. Shivchandra Jha ‘Angiras’, books by Dr. Amrendra, including Vishakha and Radheya Karna, and Baadh by Ranjan Kumar.
The literary contribution extended beyond Bihar’s geographical boundaries, with author and poet Rachna Jha from Deoghar, Jharkhand, presenting her works Rooh Ki Pukar and Neem Tale Bujhti Lau. Together, the books reflected the diversity of contemporary Hindi literary expression while drawing attention to the enduring cultural and linguistic traditions of eastern India.
The books were presented by Jyoti Jha, Chief Coordinator of the Let’s Inspire Bihar Literary Chapter and an author; Pallavi Rani, Chief Coordinator of the Let’s Inspire Bihar Mumbai Chapter and a poet; and Dr Rupashree, founder of Let’s Inspire Bihar Gargi Grihini and Director of Mother’s Touch School; Sr. Journalist & Chief Coordinator – LIB Goa, Namita Sharan; Seasoned Entrepreneur & Coordinator – LIB Goa, Sanjiv Lal; and Writer & Program Host, Akshat Parag.
Adding a distinctive cultural dimension to the occasion, an angavastram adorned with traditional Manjusha art from the Anga region was also presented to Shri Vikas Vaibhav. The artwork symbolised the region’s vibrant folk traditions and carried a message of preserving its indigenous language, art, culture and heritage.
The presentation of the books and the traditional angavastram represented more than a ceremonial gesture. It reflected a broader cultural commitment to safeguarding literary and folk traditions and carrying them forward to future generations.
Through initiatives such as these, the Literary Chapter of Let’s Inspire Bihar seeks to create greater awareness of Bihar’s literary heritage while encouraging writers, poets and cultural practitioners to contribute to a wider movement of social and cultural renewal.
The initiative carries a simple yet powerful message: when literature becomes a bridge between heritage and the future, cultural preservation becomes a shared responsibility.
With literature as a vehicle of inspiration and cultural heritage as a foundation for collective identity, the journey of Let’s Inspire Bihar continues—spreading inspiration through literature and inspiring Bihar together.
