I Owe You Till Eternity

I Owe You Till Eternity

From the shades of dark, broken and shattered

You uttered a word; I arose from ashes and diminished

The rejoicing path that hovered brings

Hope and predictability, I repent

In return, my love, what I owe

My life to you? I already surrendered

At dusk, I sulk, yearn your presence

Dawn beheld the splendour of everything

Together we float through the world

With no choice, I withheld the love I endeavour

My friend, tell me,

How much my presence mean to you?

Envy are those who know my affinity for you

They shrug when I say; you mean more to me than any for sure

The lie is when people speak in vain

That everything stands above oneself and demeans

But, to me my heart, you are the fire

You are the choice I always flair

You gave me strength in pain

Healed, concealed throughout the existence that withheld

When the world mocked, you stood strong

I extracted every poise from without remorse

Yet, when I say I adore “Myself” and the inner demeanour I possess

The world embarked with the satire

Of selfishness and absurdity!
